In “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” there are a total of 120 Lightroots. These Lightroots are essential for exploring the dark Depths below Hyrule and serve as fast travel points, illuminating areas and clearing away Gloom, which can be hazardous to Link.
Each Lightroot corresponds directly to a Shrine on the surface of Hyrule. The names of the Lightroots are the names of their associated Shrines spelled backwards, making it easier for players to locate them by matching the names. This correspondence means that there is one Lightroot for every Shrine on the surface, totaling 120 Lightroots in the Depths.
