2. Tar Pit Platforms:
– After a cactus, follow the trail of bananas to cross above a tar pit and onto a large dinosaur bone floating on it.
– On this bone, there is a Skellirex. The next bone platform in the tar pit has a pair of Skullyrexes on it.
– Continue to the skull-shaped platform with a cactus and a Hothead Jed, then over the end of the tar pit to some falling platforms being pulled down by tar.

– After this, you will encounter the Tutorial Pig with the checkpoint.

– Reach a high ledge and a wooden platform with the first DK Barrel on it. A Hothead Jed is on the raised area of land next to the barrel.
